I am a fountain pen …
I am a fountain pen collector, and *ALL* of my pens at the moment are cartridge converter fill. I haven’t used cartridges since the end of 7th grade (I’m in the 9th grade). So, what I use are the converters because I only use bottled ink. Most of my converter are Pelikan made. (they are the best quality). So my question is: What is cross ink like? I have a Cross pen and I love it death, but I mainly use inks by Noodlers and Diamine. Thanks in advance.
PS: I am getting a pelikan m200 today!!!!!

I have only ever used Cross ink, so I have no basis for comparison, but I’ve been satisfied with it. It runs off the page when in contact with water. so it’s dangerous to use the cross ink on checks because of check washing. As far as Pelikan is concerned, they are the only company that I considered when shopping for a fountain pen because of the souverain series using bottle ink and nothing else. That was key for me. I’m sure you will be happy with the pelikan.

I got the m215. I have used piston fillers before, on my Lamy 2000, and it’s amazing. It has a gold plated steel nib, but it writes like a 23k nib. If you want a bottle of ink that is safe for checks, and you want a black, get Noodler’s black. It is bulletproof, meaning that it reacts with the paper, so the only way to get rid of the writing is by burning the paper, eating, or destroying the paper. It’s some really amazing stuff. Thanks for your awesome video review too!

Yeah. Disposable pens might be cheaper if you only have to buy a couple, but most people have dozens they buy, lying around their house. And it gets hard to try to find one that actually works, and works well. Instead of dealing with the hassle, just get one good pen and keep an eye on it :>. Great!

Hi tallswede80 thanks for your video. I bought myself a fountain pen for the first time in my life, an M600 Pelikan Souveran. I am pleased with how it writes, but I noticed a small problem when writing for a long time. The black grooves near the pen nib, used for unscrewing the nib, is causing pain and discomfort to my finger which rests on it. I now try to avoid touching the grooves but it feels awkward. Don’t you experience any kind of problem like that? Do your fingers touch the grooves?
